Aberystwyth University asked us to provide an alternative surface option to their tired existing maple strip University sports hall floor. The university staff wanted an alternative option to the two Boen timber floors we have previously installed. We knew that there were issues with the floor and that there was some uncertainty as to what services ran under the existing floor.
The main criteria were to ensure the flooring was suitable for a mixed-use. High priorities were Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball and Dance.
We installed our EN 14904 compliant low-profile area elastic polyurethane system. In only 6 days we completed the flooring installation including line-markings and logos!
As our pictures show we have completely transformed the space. The University now has a top-class surface for students for many years to come.
